Governor Deal interviews candidates for Western Judicial Circuit vacancy

Georgia: Today Governor Nathan Deal will interview three candidates for a vacancy on the Western Judicial Circuit in the Tenth Superior Court District. The vacancy occurred when Steve C. Jones joined the Northern District of Georgia federal court.[1]
The candidates to be interviewed are:
- H. Patrick Haggard, judge of the Municipal Court of Winterville; and
- Phllip Griffith, an attorney in Athens.
The president of the Western Judicial Circuit Bar Association said of the selections, "All three candidates are well-qualified, and the governor couldn't go wrong either way."[1]
