Governor Parkinson has three to choose from for Kansas high court

Kansas: Yesterday, the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission recommended three judges as possible successors to former Justice Robert Davis. Governor Mark Parkinson will have until November 27 to appoint a justice for the Kansas Supreme Court.[1]
The three chosen by the Commission are:
- Merlin G. Wheeler, currently chief judge of the Kansas Fifth Judicial District;
- Nancy Caplinger, judge on the Kansas Court of Appeals; and
- Thomas E. Malone, also a judge on the Kansas Court of Appeals.[2]
