Governor Scott appoints Schreiber to Ninth Circuit
August 3, 2011
Florida: Yesterday, Governor Rick Scott appointed Margaret H. Schreiber to the Florida 9th Circuit Court to succeed Maura T. Smith. Schreiber has spent the majority of her legal career in private practice.[1]
At the appointment, Governor Scott said, "Throughout her legal career, Margaret has demonstrated an ability to analyze complex legal issues while managing business responsibilities and remaining active in her community. I believe she will make a fine circuit judge, and will bring a strong business and legal background to the circuit bench."[1]
Schreiber must run for the seat in the 2012 election if she wishes to continue serving.
