A Grain Valley School District Bond Measure was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the Grain Valley school district area which is in Jackson County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,033 (69%)
- NO 464 (31%)[1]
This was the second attempt by the school district to get this measure approved, it missed the two-thirds majority needed in the February election. This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $3 million in order to help pay for improvement projects in the district. School officials were more hopeful the bond would pass this time as it only needed a 55 percent supermajority vote to win where as in February it needed two-thirds (66.67%) vote to be approved.[2]
