Grant Barrett was a candidate for at-large representative on the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education in Colorado. The general election was held on November 3, 2015.[1] Grant Barrett lost the general election on November 3, 2015.

Barrett is serving as the chair of Ambulance Gateway and is also a member of the Aurora Gateway Rotary club. He has been named a court appointed special advocate for children with Arapahoe County, and later became both a foster and adoptive parent with the county. Barrett and his wife own a trophy and award business in Aurora.[2]

Three of the seven seats on the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. All three seats up for election were at-large seats.

Incumbents Dan Jorgensen and Cathy Wildman filed for re-election while Mary W. Lewis was unable to run due to term limits. The incumbents faced challengers Grant Barrett, Linda Cerva, Monica Colbert, Billie Day, and Michael Donald.[1] Jorgensen and Wildman were successful in winning re-election and Colbert won election to the remaining seat.
