I was elected to the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors in April of 2020 and 2022 to represent District 5. As a board member, I served on the La Crosse County Economic Development Fund Board, La Crosse City Arts Board, and as Vice Chairperson of the Veterans, Aging, and Long-Term Care Committee. I am a lifelong Wisconsinite and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in public administration and political science. I am employed in higher educational roles within the La Crosse community while I work towards a graduate degree at UWL. I am excited to be running in 2024 to continue my advocacy for affordable housing for renters and families, meaningful environmental action, and sustainable economic development.
- Renters and families in La Crosse County deserve housing that is genuinely affordable.
- Meaningful environmental action needs to be one of our top community priorities.
- The local economy must be sustainable, dynamic, and set up to work for everyone who calls La Crosse home.
Beyond engaging in advocacy on the important issues of affordable housing/rent, a clean environment, and local economic development, I care a lot about increasing civic participation. Wisconsin's state government should allow counties to continue using advisory referenda to get the public involved in the legislative process. Ideally, I think that certain forms of binding referenda could sometimes be used at the local level. I am also deeply passionate about providing affordable and accessible healthcare to all who need it. I think elected officials must work to ensure that everyone has access to affordable and high-quality healthcare when they need it.
