I am a young professional who is inspired to run and create meaningful change for all of the residents of District 7. I believe that my past experience and background uniquely qualifies me to help create a strong, unified district. In Lansing I will fight for more funding for public education, more economic development, protecting a woman's right to choose, and creating a more equitable and just society for all.
  • I will fight for all residents in the district! HD 7 is a diverse district that has major socioeconmic disparitie between some its communities. I am committed to ensuring that every constiuents voice is heard and work towards a more equtiable society for all.
  • I provide a fresh, innovative perspective to the political gridlock that exists in today's legislature. The polarization of politics has gotten in the way of what's truly important; working and advocating for the people. Begin a young professional, my experience and volunteer record proves that I can reach across the aisle to create meaningful change, while maintaining core Democratic values.
  • Constituents deserve access to their elected official and transparency from their state government. I pride myself on my ability to listen and hear out all residents concerns. State government has become too predictable, I plan on bringing a new approach to the transparency the legislature owes its residents.
I am extremely passionate about all areas of public policy, but in particular I would say Education, Environmental, and Healthcare policy. These three areas are at the forefront of what needs to be reformed in the State of Michigan.

There needs to be more increased funding to our education system in Michigan. Michigan is in desperate need of more funding to compete with other state on a national stage. This state has seen drastic cuts to our education since 2011 and is losing to for-profit charter schools Our kids and future generations deserve better, it's up to us to fight for the resources that will create that.

Environmental sustainability is a critical issue that is often overlooked in terms of the State's budget. We need to be better in terms of holding large corporations accountable for the pollute that they're responsible for. Without accountability, the environment will continue to suffer while these corporations rake in record profits. I also believe in creating more sustainable energy like investing in wind and solar energy. Michigan needs to continue with incentives to make it more affordable to drive electric vehicles. This will promote a better environment, create economic development, and decrease our dependency on fossil fuels.

Healthcare policy has the most far-reaching effect upon everyday residents. We need to lower prescription drug costs, make insurance more accessible, and expand medicare and medicaid access for our most vulnerable citizens.
