A Greenville School District Bond Measure was on the May 3, 2011 ballot in the Greenville school district area which is in Montcalm County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,507 (52.78%)
- NO 1,348 (47.22%)[1]
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $14.5 million in order to help pay for remodeling and furnishing classrooms, updating technology at the schools as well as improving facility sites including the athletic fields.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall Greenville Public Schools, Montcalm, Kent and Ionia Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Fourteen Million Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($14,570,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds threfor, in one or more series, for the purpose of: erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to and partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; acquiring, installing and equipping technology for school facilities; constructing, equipping, developing and improving athletic/physical education facilities and play fields; and developing and improving sites.[3][4] |
