Greg Adams is a member of the Little Rock School District in Arkansas, representing Zone 8. He assumed office on December 17, 2020. His current term ends in 2026.
Adams won re-election to the Little Rock School District to represent Zone 8 in Arkansas outright after the general election on November 8, 2022, was canceled.
On January 29, 2015, the board was dissolved by the Arkansas State Board of Education following poor academic performance in the district. Community member Doris Pendleton and former board members Dianne Curry, Charlie C.E. McAdoo, and Jim Ross sued Arkansas Commissioner of Education Tony Wood and the State Board of Education over the decision.[1]
Biography
Greg Adams was an unopposed candidate for the Zone 4 position on the Little Rock School board. At the time of his tenure, he served as Director of PalCare and the Center for Good Mourning program affiliated with Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is married to his wife Syd and the couple have two children that have graduated from or are enrolled in schools in the Little Rock School District. He is the Vice President of the Little Rock School District School Board and has served as chair of the Anti-Bullying Advisory Committee and a member of the LRSD Wellness Committee.[2]
