Greg Beavers was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education in North Carolina. He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014. Beavers ran unsuccessfully for a seat in 2012.

Beavers is the director of the school of nuclear medicine, technology and molecular imaging at UNC Hospitals. He earned his undergraduate degree in health science from Campbell University, a master’s degree in business administration from Elon University, and a doctorate in curriculum/instruction from the UNC-Greensboro.[1]

Three at-large seats on the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Tony Rose was the only incumbent running for re-election. He ran against challengers Greg Beavers, Tom Gamble, Allison Gant, Ron Harber, Mark T. Payne, Heather Sorrell and Jeremy Teetor.

Grant, Rose and Payne won the open seats.
