Education
I look up to Frederick Douglass. He was born a slave but fought and worked his way out of slavery and became successful in life. Frederick Douglass taught the principles of hard work, self responsibility, limited government, Constitutionalism and freedom of speech. My favorite quote of his, "I will side with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong".
To always do the right thing and to properly serve the people that trusted you to represent them.
I would like to be known as a representative who got things done for the people in my district and one who got bills passed when others couldn't.
I was around 5 years old and still remember seeing the news of the assassination of President Kennedy.
I worked as a bus boy at the Fred Harvey Club in Kansas City, Mo. I worked there until they closed the business.
Frederick Douglass Republicans by K. Carl Smith. It tells of overcoming any struggles which we could not imagine facing in our lifetime. Frederick Douglass overcame everything in the face of adversity and succeeded in life.
Contigo En La Distancia- L:uis Miguel version
I don't struggle with anything. If an adverse situation arises I deal with it to the best of my abilities. I have faith that God will lead me in the right direction and He always has.
I think the checks and balances that it provides allows good law to become law and not so good law from becoming law.
I believe it is more important for state legislators to have hands on everyday work force experiences rather than political experience so they can see first hand how bills will impact the people they will represent.
It is ideal to have a good working relationship with each other. But I also believe in checks and balances.
Yes I do. Having good working relationships with the people you serve with helps to get things done that are beneficial to constituents.
Senator Kevin Braun is a great person and serves the people well in his Senate district. I hope to learn a lot from Senator Braun.
I would like to someday become the first Hispanic governor of the great State of Kansas.
In talking with small business owners I heard many stories of how the current governor's policies have hurt small businesses. I would work to help remedy ineffective and harmful policies.
