|- Everyone agrees that we have an overly partisan, dysfuctional, polarized government. Unfortunately, polarization is not limited to poliotics. It shows up within our families, in our neighborhoods and at our schoolboard meetings. The solution is to see those on the "otherside" as Americans not enemies. Then listen. Listen with curiousity to understand. Prioritize the relationship and find common ground. This is not natural and takes trianing and practice.
- I can bring that spirit of listening to understand and prioritizing relationship development with Representatives from the other side of the isle. If we can make laws together, they are more solid and lasting. We have to start working together to find solutions that work for everybody.
- The problems with this solution are that it will take time and we need more willing participants. It starts in the House Civility Caucus and builds from there. Collaboration not demonization.
