Biography

Greg Landsman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976 and lives in Mt. Washington, Ohio. Landsman earned a B.A. in economics and political science from Ohio University in 1999 and an M.A. in theological studies, religion, and public policy from Harvard University in 2004. His career experience includes working as the executive director of The Strive Partnership with the KnowledgeWorks Foundation and the director of the Ohio Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. He was a member of the Cincinnati City Council from 2018 to 2022.

On July 19, 2024, U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio) said President Joe Biden (D) should withdraw from the 2024 Democratic presidential race ahead of the Democratic National Convention on August 19-22, 2024.

Landsman said, "It is time for President Biden to step aside and allow us to nominate a new leader who can reliably and consistently make the case against Donald Trump and make the case for the future of America."

Following the first 2024 presidential debate, Democratic elected officials commented publicly on President Joe Biden's (D) debate performance and his presidential candidacy. On July 2, 2024, U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) became the first Democratic federal elected official to call on Biden to withdraw from the race in the wake of the debate.
