Campaign website
Lopez’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES “I am pro-life. I believe in school choice, less regulation, protecting the 2nd amendment, affordable free-market healthcare, constitutional judges, less spending and smaller government through TABOR, enforcing our laws and protecting our borders, empowering the states. I do not believe in sanctuary cities!” EDUCATIONAL FREEDOM “A one-solution-MUST-fit-all approach has failed our kids. It's time for an all-of-the above approach: vouchers, charters, trade learning, new online learning tech, and union alternatives for better teacher pay. Our parents and teachers need the freedom to pioneer personalized learning paths.” ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP “We must conserve Colorado's beauty. It's our responsibility to be proactive stewards of it. Renewable and reliable energy, smart growth, a clean and secure water supply, and forests free from fires.” ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY “We can and must do better. Small businesses have been decimated by politically-guided COVID policies, supply chain issues, and record high inflation. Let's build a 'self sustaining' economic ecosystem for Colorado that empowers innovation and growth for small and large businesses in both urban and rural.” FREEDOM & RESPONSIBILITY “Most of us are not obsessed with politics. Instead, we're obsessed with living our best Colorado life. Until, the top-down political rulers begin to interfere with our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. At this moment, all of us must speak up and come together as one Colorado to take our 'we-the-people' power back.” PEOPLE OVER POLITICS “My values are shaped by my Christian faith. I follow the maxims of the gospel. Jesus was of-and-for-the-people. All people. The 'othered', outcast, and forgotten of his day. Jesus listened to them, served them, and loved them. He set the human standard for servant leadership, people over politics. This is the guiding principle of my campaign, and if I am so honored to serve as your Congressman, it will be what guides me.” [9] |
