I'm a native Washingtonian with a gorgeous wife and a beautiful 6-year-old daughter.

I'm a small business owner with a business in Maryland and a non-profit organization in DC.

I've been an area lead for Organizing for Action and

I am the founder of Stand-Ups for DC, which enlists the help of stand-up comics to spread the word about the need to support DC Statehood.
  • The time has come to step-up our fight for full and irrevocable representation in our federal government. Our tactics need to become more creative, loud, and urgent.
  • I plan to run an ongoing campaign against Congressional members who stand in opposition to DC citizens having their proper voting rights.
  • My campaign will be less about running against Representative Norton and more about launching new efforts during my campaign and allowing voters to get a sense of the different paths being suggested.  I want to encourage DC voters to choose strategies, not just names, on November 3rd.
First and foremost, DC residents must no longer be subjected to the most extreme and overt voter suppression imaginable. A state's worth of US citizens being told we are, simply, not allowed to have representation in our federal government ("...because we said so") can no longer be accepted or ignored.

Next...
I believe the most urgent objectives for public policy are those that lead to more effective enforcement of the laws that govern our political officials. It has become, painfully, apparent that our current system is set-up to have politicians police themselves.

We need Presidential candidates to pass a top-level security clearance PRIOR to the general election
before any state secrets are shared with them.
We need oversight that falls under the rules that govern the normal court system.
We need automatic triggers that move the choice to enforce laws from political calculations to law enforcement obligations.
We need a, truly, "Independent" Counsel with the power to charge crimes when a strong case exists.
We need a dedicated court or an expedited process in the regular court system to try cases as though an immediate threat exists.
We need swift, criminal action taken against any politician who solicits or knowingly accepts help from foreign governments or their agents,

If we cannot get our government to function effectively and efficiently with real deterrents to corruption, efforts to pass any other significant legislation will be crippled.
