Greg Parker was a 2012 Republican candidate for Texas Railroad Commission in the 2012 elections. He lost to incumbent Barry Smitherman in the primary runoff election held July 31, 2012.[1]

Parker ran for Texas Railroad Commission in 2012. He faced incumbent Barry Smitherman, Elizabeth Murphy-Kolb and Al Lee in the May 29 Republican primary. Since no candidate won more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote getters - Smitherman and Parker - faced off in a runoff election on July 31,[2] which Parker lost.[1]
