Greg Popil
Greg Popil was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Scranton Board of Directors in Pennsylvania. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015. He filed to run in both the Democratic and Republican primaries. Popil won the Republican nomination.[1][2]
Popil withdrew from the race in August 2015. His name did not appear on the ballot even though he missed the candidate withdrawal deadline. A Lackwanna County judge ordered his name removed on August 26, 2015. The Republican Party used a substitute nomination certificate to nominate Marcel Lisi in the place of Popil.[3][4]
