Greg Smith (Republican Party) is a member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 57. He assumed office in 2001. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.

Biography
Smith earned his B.S. in liberal studies from Eastern Oregon University in 1992 and his M.S. in business administration from Eastern Oregon University. His professional experience includes working as a business development professional and small business owner.[1] Smith was previously a legislative aide to Oregon Representative Majority leader Greg Walden. He had also been a Community Advisory member for United States Senator Gordon Smith. Smith was an alternate delegate to the 1996 Republican National Convention.

Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Greg Smith was unopposed in the Republican primary. He also ran as a write-in candidate on the Democratic party ticket. Smith was unchallenged in the general election.[7][8][9]

Smith won re-election to District 57 in 2010. He defeated Colleen MacLeod in the March 9 primary elections, receiving 4,905 votes while MacLeod received 2,864 . Smith was challenged by Jean Falbo in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[13][14]

Noteworthy events
Oregon Government Ethics Commission investigation (2025-2026)
On December 12, 2025, the Oregon Government Ethics Commission unanimously determined that Smith violated state ethics laws in relation to his efforts to secure a pay raise for his work with the Columbia Development Authority of Boardman.[17]
In January 2026, Smith agreed to a letter of education from the Oregon Government Ethics Commission after a commission investigation found Smith did not report his company’s dealings with Morrow Development Corporation.[18]
