Westlind (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the North Dakota House of Representatives to represent District 15. He lost in the Republican primary on June 14, 2022.

A special election for the position of North Dakota House of Representatives District 15 was called for November 8. Candidates were nominated by their parties rather than through primaries. The winner filled Hofstad's remaining term.
The seat was vacant following Curt Hofstad's (R) death on June 18, 2016. He died of an apparent heart attack.[1]
Incumbent Greg Westlind defeated Brenda Bergsrud in the North Dakota House of Representatives District 15 special election.[2][3]
