Gregg E. Johnson (Minnesota)
Gregg E. Johnson was a Second Judicial District judge for Ramsey County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on October 1, 1992 by Gov. Carlson. He was re-elected in 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2012. His final term was to expire in 2019, but Flynn retired at the end of 2014.[1]

Johnson ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[2] He received 98.56 percent of the vote.[3]

Education
Judge Johnson was born in 1950. He received a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Minnesota in 1972 and a J.D. degree from the Hamline University School of Law in 1983. He also participated in the Mankato State University Master Program from 1975 to 1977.[1]
Career
Judge Johnson began his legal career as Metropolitan Council in 1974. He then worked as a Ramsey County Public Defender from 1984 until he was appointed to the district court in 1992.[1]
