Economic Growth and Development
Chandler has been leading the way in the technology sector, rapidly becoming the “Silicon Valley of the Southwest.” Small and large companies, such as my employer of Intel, are attracted to Chandler because of our business friendly environment, commitment to providing residents high level services, and our superior education system. These are all very important elements to economic development, but they won’t get the job done by themselves. Attracting new businesses and creating private sector jobs requires active pursuit of potential new businesses. I’m committed to both continuing to sustain our business friendly environment by reducing the regulatory and tax burdens our businesses face while actively recruiting and seeking out new partnerships for the city of Chandler. These steps will ensure we bring high quality, high wage job opportunities to Chandler residents which helps our city, and our state.
Fiscal Accountability and Government Transparency
As your Chandler City Councilman I will ensure that residents have access to my office and I provide regular correspondence to constituents. Chandler government officials are accountable to voters and residents of our great city, and I won’t forget that. Accountability in government begins by being good stewards of hard earned tax payer dollars. I will continue to ensure Chandler budgets are balanced and work alongside the current councilmembers to eliminate waste in all areas of the budget. I will continue the fight against raising sales taxes and keep service fees affordable for all Chandler residents while providing the best quality services and infrastructure maintenance. This is my commitment to ensuring Chandler is THE place to live, work, and play now, and in the future.
Commitment to Providing Quality Services
Chandler residents are fortunate to have such high level services provided to them by our city, including top quality police, fire and emergency medical services. Additionally, Chandler offers its residents excellent water and sanitation services to ensure our neighborhoods are safe, clean and healthy. I’m committed to ensuring we maintain these quality services while being responsible stewards of tax payer dollars. I will ensure that tax dollars go toward providing the necessary resources our hard working Chandler employees deserve at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers. The taxpayers and our dedicated civil servants deserve nothing less.
Infrastructure and Quality of Life
While Chandler is one of the most beautiful cities in Arizona, there is always room for improvement. One area that I will focus on is improving the water infrastructure by addressing the need to increase the capacity of water pipelines to properly accommodate the needs of residents of a growing city. Additionally we must address the roadways that are in need of repair and commit to providing a safe driving and travel experience for our residents. Last, we must honor our commitments to building the parks and recreation facilities we promised prior to the great recession in our Southeast neighborhoods. As your City Councilman, I will ensure that Chandler has the infrastructure needed to provide safety and health and provide the parks and entertainment venues for a fun and recreational lifestyle for our residents.
