My name is Gregory Gallegos, and I am a dedicated advocate for my community in House District 27. Born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of New Mexico, my roots run deep here, from Dennis Chavez Elementary to La Cueva High School.

As a husband to Heather and father to Kayleigh, Greyson, and Hunter, I am committed to ensuring our district thrives for future generations. My journey has been one of public service and business leadership, starting in vehicle maintenance, serving as an Operational Specialist in the US Navy during the Global War on Terrorism, and earning an MBA from the Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Professionally, I have held roles at Sandia National Laboratories, The City of Albuquerque, and the Office of the New Mexico Secretary of State. I have also held positions within my children's PTSA at Hubert Humphrey Elementary School as Vice President and President, ensuring our school community is represented and our children are successful. Currently, my wife and I are small business owners and actively contribute to our state’s economy.

My experience spans compliance, politics, and business. From leadership in the Navy to collaborating with political campaigns and organizations, I have developed skills in compliance management, data analysis, policy development, training, public communications, and systems testing.
  • Reduce Crime & End Catch and Release: The safety of our families and communities is paramount. I am committed to putting an end to the harmful "catch and release" policies that have allowed dangerous criminals to return to the streets. We need stronger, more effective law enforcement and judicial reforms that hold criminals accountable while protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens.
  • Increase Access to Healthcare: No New Mexican should be left without access to quality healthcare. By working with healthcare professionals and policymakers, I will advocate for reforms that reduce costs and increase availability.
  • Expand Educational Opportunities: Our children’s future depends on the quality of their education. By investing in schools, supporting teachers, and increasing vocational training, we can give students the tools they need to succeed.

September 11, 2001, is the most memorable historical event I remember. I was in my Junior year of High School and was 16 years old,
My very first job was working in a warehouse as a general laborer. I would clean the warehouse, unload trucks, and load trucks. I was 14 and worked for a summer, about 2 months,
