Gregory E. Grau was a judge for Branch 4 of the Marathon County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. Marathon County is located in the 9th Judicial District.[1] Grau was first elected to the Marathon County Circuit Court in 1995 and was re-elected in 2001, 2007, and 2013.[2] Grau retired on May 20, 2016.[3]

Grau began serving as chief judge of the 9th Judicial District on September 8, 2008, and was reappointed to the position by the Wisconsin Supreme Court in June 2010.[4][5][6] In 2012 the Wisconsin Supreme Court appointed Neal Nielsen to succeed Grau as a new member of the Committee of Chief Judges.[7]

Education

Grau earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981, and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1984.[2]
