Gregory Hardin is a Journalist, Substitute Teacher, and College student who has lived in Shawnee his entire life. Ever since Gregory was a child he’s wanted to help people, which is what influenced him to become a teacher and become a Journalist. He is dedicated to fighting for, helping, and informing the hardworking people of House District 26!

As a kid Gregory attended school at North Rock Creek and graduated from Shawnee High School in 2016. While in school he played trumpet in band and was also on Shawnee High School's Robotics team.

       	Gregory currently attends college at the University of Central Oklahoma as a History Education major.  While in college he has been a substitute teacher at North Rock Creek, Bethel, Pleasant Grove, and Shawnee public schools; and has hosted a show on YouTube called “The Green Corn Rebellion Show” where he has interviewed politicians, political candidates, and musicians such as former State Senator Ron Sharp, Shawnee City Commissioner for Ward 2 Bob Weaver, and Cody Hanson of the band Hinder.
Education:

· Help build community by keeping teachers in the district by raising starting teacher pay.
· Free school lunches & breakfasts for all students.
· Increased funding for Pre K-12, higher education, & trade school.
Worker’s Rights:
· Workers comp reform.
· Ensure every full-time job is paying a living wage.
· Paid Sick Leave & Paid Family Leave.
· Eliminate at will employment.
· Support the right of workers being able to form a union & end Right to Work.
Criminal Justice Reform:
· Legalize marijuana.
· End for profit prisons.
· Prioritize rehabilitation & education over incarceration.
Communication & Transparency:
· Holding monthly town hall meetings in the district.
· Give weekly updates about what’s happening at the Capitol during the legislative session.

· Do my best to be as accessible to and attuned with the people in the district.
My Dad. He is the nicest and most hard working person I know. He worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for over 20 years in order to provide for our family and has helped put me through college. If I can become half as hard working as he is then I'll have considered myself to be a great person.
Making sure you are keeping in regular contact with your constituents so you can let them know what's going on at the capitol and what you as a legislator are doing to help them.
