Griffin Boyette Bell (1918-2009) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Bell received a recess appointment from President John F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was nominated on January 15, 1962, confirmed by the Senate on February 5, 1962, and received his commission on February 9th. He resigned on March 1, 1976.[1] Bell died on January 5, 2009.
