My name is Gustavo Ortega, and I'd like to introduce myself. I am a special education teacher seeking to be elected to the Florida House of Representatives District 100. I'm running to help our children have a brighter future, affordable healthcare for all of us, to support small business, to counteract the effects of global warming, and to assist others in achieving the American Dream. I moved to the United States as a child and became a U.S. citizen in 1997. I earned my master's degree and pursued a career as a special education teacher. Dr. Christina Ortega is my beautiful wife, we have two amazing children and Coco our cockapoo dog. You can typically find us outside trying to enjoy all that Florida has to offer.
  • Education is the most valuable asset anyone will ever attain. Therefore, attain a high-quality education is essential.
  • Global Warming threatens our health, our communities, our economy, and our children's futures. This is a problem that has to be addressed right now.
  • Creating jobs that support a middle class family.
The challenges that we all confront today are the areas of public policy that I am personally enthusiastic about. From ensuring that our children receive a high-quality education to affordable daycare, job creation and the economy, healthcare, global warming, and so much more.
