Biography

Guy Ciarrocchi was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University in 1986. He earned a law degree from Villanova University in 1990.^[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Guy Ciarrocchi is a local business advocate, coalition builder, and chief advisor, serving the last eight years as President & CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. Guy has a long record of conservative leadership, previously serving as Chief of Staff to Lt. Governor Jim Cawley, Congressman Jim Gerlach, State Senator Melissa Hart, and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Guy was the Pennsylvania campaign manager of President Bush's reelection in 2004. He began his grassroots service as a committeeman in South Philadelphia and as Chairman of the College Republicans at St. Joseph's University. Guy was elected Chairman of the Pennsylvania College Republicans, then National Co-Chairman, and Chairman of the Young Republicans.

In September of 2021, Guy left his post at the Chamber to launch his campaign for governor.

Restoring Liberty by undoing the mandates and restrictions of the last few years and end the era of executive orders so that elected officials are accountable to us, not the other way around.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Guy has been a longtime advocate for school choice. He helped pass—and implement—the Education Improvement Tax Credit, which allows thousands of children to attend the school of their parent's choice. Guy also helped pass—and put into effect—the charter school law, which now reaches nearly 150,000 children. Today, Guy is on the Board of the PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS). Guy also was a vocal critic of statewide pandemic mandates and restrictions. He was a leader of the Pennsylvania Primary Vote YES movement—building a coalition of local businesses, people wanting to return to work, parent groups, and those who wanted to restore individual liberty. Vote YES successfully amended the state Constitution to restrain uncontrolled gubernatorial power, restore "checks & balances," and ensure that citizens were involved in decisions that regulate their lives and livelihoods.
