Gwendlyne Y. Jones
Gwendlyne Y. Jones (former Gwendlyne Y. Smalls) is a family court judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] She was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in April 2010.[2] She was re-elected in 2016 and 2022.[3][4]
Education
Jones received her B.S. in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina in 1984 and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989.[5]
Career
Before she became a judge, Jones worked as an attorney in private practice for fourteen years. She also previously served in the Richland County Public Defender's Office from 1989 to 1995.[5]
