Two seats on the Gwinnett County Public Schools school board in Georgia were up for general election on November 6, 2018. A primary election was possible on May 22, 2018. Georgia held runoff elections on December 4, 2018, for school board races across the state where no candidate received a majority of the vote in the general election.

Neither of the incumbents who were up for re-election in 2018 filed to seek another term. Four candidates filed to run in District 2: Democrats Donald May and Wandy Taylor and Republicans Steven Knudsen and Carol Ranft. Taylor and Knudsen advanced to the general election. Four candidates also filed in the District 4 race: Democrats Everton Blair Jr. and Mark Anthony Williams and Republicans Randall Lee and Chuck Studebaker. Blair and Studebaker faced each other in the general election.[2]

Gwinnett County Public Schools is located in Georgia. The district was the largest school district in the state in the 2014–2015 school year and served 173,246 students.[3]

In 2016, Donald Trump (R) won 106 out of 180 state House districts in Georgia with an average margin of victory of 36.8 points. Trump won four districts controlled by Democrats heading into the 2018 elections.
