H.G. Harry Foster is the Division 5 circuit judge of the Twentieth Circuit of Arkansas. Governor Mike Beebe appointed him to Division 1 of the court in 2013. He was elected to the Division 5 position in the nonpartisan judicial election 2014. Under Arkansas law, he could not run for the Division 1 seat because he was appointed to it.[1][2] His term will expire in 2020.[3]

Foster ran for re-election to the Twentieth Circuit.
General: He defeated Doralee Chandler in the general election on May 20, 2014, receiving 57.8 percent of the vote. [3][4]

Education

Foster earned his undergraduate degree at Hendrix College in 1974. He earned his J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1977. He is also a graduate of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute.[2][5]
