H. Wayne Wilt is a judge for the Orphans Court of Garrett County in Garrett County, Maryland. He has served as a judge on the court since December 2002.[1] Wilt ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Garrett County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[2][3]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 49.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Fred Sanders. Candidates ran unopposed in the primary.
General: He faced Dave Beard (write-in), Everett B. Deberry (write-in), Dan Duggan (write-in), and Fred Sanders in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 39.1 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Wilt was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Garrett County in the general election on November 2, 2010, (along with incumbents James F. Margroff and Clifford C. DeWitt) after receiving 27.11 percent of the vote.[6]

Wilt is a former deputy sheriff and bailiff for Garrett County.[1]
