I am a social worker, entrepreneur, community organizer and mother.

I have been named Social Worker of the Year (2024) and Advocate of the Year (2018) for the state of Florida, because I put in work. I grew up in Pensacola, Florida, a place that’s shaped my understanding of community and the power of collective action. With divorced parents and not always being the most economically stable, I was raised by a village, one that instilled in me the values of resilience and solidarity. These early experiences ignited my passion for social work and advocacy, leading me to earn a Master’s in Social Work from the University of West Florida, where I honed my skills in providing support and resilience to individuals navigating trauma. The glaring inequalities and systemic issues I saw around me couldn't be ignored. Working as a trauma therapist and crisis counselor for many years, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of policies on mental health and overall well-being. This experience has fueled my determination to fight for change at a legislative level.

The births of my two sons, Dante and Nickolas were pivotal moments that propelled me into being hands on to create a better future for the people of our state. The issues that drive me to seek political change are deeply personal and community-centered. I am tired of politics being a reality television show and seek to be a true representative for all people and not just a few.
  • Hope:

Invest in education and our educators

Advocate for the right to clean water and sustainable policies that protect our planet
  • Healing: • Champion greater investment in opioid crisis initiatives • Promote collaborative mental health initiatives
  • Healthcare for All. Simple, expand medicaid, include dental and mental health. This will not only impact citizens individually but effect our economy, work force and public safety.
Access to healthcare and Attainable housing.

I have personally seen how a community can be strengthened when citizens have barriers to healthcare removed. We have cut reimbursement rates to our Community Health Centers, forcing them to cut services and close locations.

Attainable housing means more than just getting into a home, but also having the ability to maintain it. Rising cost in homeowners insurance, property taxes and standard livability threatens the ability for communities to thrive.
I bring a blend of compassion, resilience, and relentless dedication to the table, qualities that I believe are essential for a successful officeholder. My personal and professional background has taught me to listen deeply, advocate fiercely, and remain calm under pressure. As a community organizer and leader, I’ve learned how to bring people together, navigate challenges, and push for change even when the odds are stacked against us. I’m not afraid to tackle tough issues head-on, and I have the empathy to understand the struggles of those I represent. These qualities, combined with my commitment to transparency and accountability, will help me serve effectively.
The core responsibilities of someone elected to this office are straightforward: representing the people with integrity, advocating for policies that uplift the community, and ensuring that government works effectively for everyone. It’s about being a voice for those who are often unheard, holding the government accountable, and fighting for resources that promote hope, healing, and healthcare for all. At the end of the day, it’s about making decisions that benefit the people, not just the powerful. My job is to listen, lead, and act in the best interest of the community—no matter who is watching.
Anyanwu from Wild Seed by Octavia Butler. Anyanwu has the remarkable ability to heal herself and others, but what truly resonates with me is her deep sense of morality and humanity. She embodies the values of family, community, autonomy, and companionship which are things that are at the heart of who I am and what I stand for. Like Anyanwu, I believe in the power of healing, both individually and collectively, and I’m committed to using my strength to uplift others. While she has the ability to do harm, she chooses love, freedom, and the well-being of her community, which is the kind of leadership I aspire to bring to this office.
A personal struggle has been the challenge of 'saying more.' I’m a doer, raised with values rooted in action. If I proposed a plan, I was always prepared to see it through. This focus on getting things done means I don’t always take the time to talk about what I’ve accomplished or what I’m working on, it just gets done. As a result, others might take credit, or my contributions go unnoticed. In today’s world, there’s an expectation to broadcast every achievement or step, but I’m often too busy making things happen on the ground to keep up with that.
Getting things done in government requires collaboration. Building relationships with other legislators isn't just beneficial; it's essential. When we work together, across party lines and different viewpoints, we can create meaningful, lasting change for the people we represent. It’s about finding common ground and pushing forward policies that make a real difference in our communities. I’m committed to working with anyone ready to prioritize people over politics and get things done.

Financial transparency and government accountability are non-negotiables. Our government should operate with the same integrity and transparency we expect in our everyday lives. Taxpayers have a right to know where their money is going, and leaders must be held accountable for every cent. I believe in clear, accessible financial reporting and stringent oversight to prevent waste and corruption. I'll fight for policies that ensure our government works for the people, not special interests, and that public funds are used wisely to support our communities.
