Hello there! I'm Mayor Harley Droba of International Falls, devoted husband to Aimee, and loving father to Kaitlyn. My journey of service began in the Army and evolved into a passionate advocacy for veterans' rights. My commitment shines through my roles in the VFW and the Minnesota State VFW Council of Administration, where I persistently champion veterans.

In my community, I'm known as the owner of a local restaurant and flower shop, and former proprietor who reopened the bowling alley. I've been instrumental in driving positive change, from reinvigorating activities for the youth to fostering unity within our city council. As a co-founder of IFalls Nice, I've helped nurture community spirit and hope.

Now, with my sights set on the State House, I'm fueled by a desire to serve Minnesota on a larger stage, advocating for unity and progress. I'm ready to bring my passion for service, community, and improvement to broader horizons.
  • Access to quality healthcare in rural areas is a pressing concern that requires immediate attention. The current requirement for residents to drive hours to access medical services is not only inconvenient but also potentially unsafe. There's a need to bring these vital services closer to home.
  • Veterans in rural settings deserve better care and support. Efforts must be intensified to ensure they receive the necessary assistance and high-quality healthcare services they need right in their communities.
  • The economic impact of tourism is significant and holds great potential for growth. It's crucial to invest in and promote local attraction.
Rural healthcare is a crucial issue that I am deeply committed to. Understanding the unique challenges rural residents face, such as limited care access and increased health risks, I'm dedicated to ensuring accessible, quality healthcare for these communities.

I aim to improve medical facilities and transportation, striving to reduce barriers like lengthy travel distances for medical services. Supporting local clinics is also a priority, as easy physician access is vital due to the lower patient-to-primary care physician ratio in rural areas. My goal is to strengthen these clinics to provide comprehensive community care.

Attracting top healthcare professionals to rural areas is another commitment of mine. Given the staffing shortages in these regions due to factors like lower wages and fewer professional opportunities, I plan to create incentives for skilled healthcare workers to enhance the quality and availability of rural healthcare services.

I acknowledge the importance of specific programs like the Rural Health Care Program, which funds eligible healthcare providers for telecommunications and broadband services. I support initiatives bridging the digital divide and enhancing telemedicine capabilities to improve rural healthcare access.

In summary, my commitment to rural healthcare isn't just words. My approach addresses various challenges of rural healthcare, from infrastructure and local support to staffing and digital innovation.
