Harold Hanson
Harold Hanson is a former member of the Bakersfield City Council in California, representing Ward 5 from 2000 to 2016. He served as vice mayor from 2007 to 2008.[1] Hanson was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Although elections for the Bakersfield City Council are officially nonpartisan, Hason is known to be a member of the Republican Party.[2]
Biography
Hanson holds a B.S. in business and finance from the University of Windsor. His professional experience includes working as a vice-president at Citizens Business Bank.[1]

The mayor's chair and three seats on the Bakersfield City Council were up for general election in 2016. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 16, 2016. A primary was held on June 7, 2016, and the general election took place on November 8, 2016. Jeffrey Tkac defeated incumbent Harold Hanson and Ryan Nance in the Bakersfield City Council, Ward 5 general election.[3]
