Southworth ran for election to the Worcester Town Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 27.3 percent of the vote. Brian P. Keenan and incumbent Judge Alton R. Travis, III were also on the ballot, competing for two open seats.
