Harold Naughton Jr. (Democratic Party) was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 12th Worcester District. Naughton assumed office in 1995. Naughton left office on January 6, 2021.
Naughton (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 12th Worcester District. Naughton won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Naughton was first elected to the chamber in 1994.
Naughton served on the Clinton School Committee from 1984 to 1987.
Biography
Naughton's professional experience includes working as an attorney; he served as Worcester County Assistant District Attorney from 1992 to 1994.[1]

State House
Elections for the Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Harold Naughton, Jr. was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Brad Wyatt was unopposed in the Republican primary. Naughton defeated Wyatt in the general election.[7]

Attorney General of Massachusetts
Naughton ended his campaign for election to the office of Attorney General in February, 2014.[8][9]
Naughton released a statement giving his reasons for leaving the race. “The amount of time required to successfully perform my military duties, provide strong representation to the people the 12th Worcester District, and be a husband and dad, has made it impractical to continue my campaign for Attorney General. After long consideration with my wife Ellen and our children, I have decided to end my campaign for Attorney General and again seek the honor of representing the people of the 12th Worcester District in the House of Representatives. This decision was not made easily, but there is only so much time in the day.”[9]
The general election took place on November 4, 2014.
2012
Naughton won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Twelfth Worcester District. Naughton was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[10][11]
2010
Naughton won election to the Twelfth Worcester seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He defeated James Gettens (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[12]
