Harold Stryker was the Trustee Area 5 representative on the Lake Elsinore Unified board of trustees in California. Stryker lost a re-election bid in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

Three of the five seats on the Lake Elsinore Unified School District board of trustees were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. Two were four-year terms, and one was a two-year term due to an appointment on the board.[2] In their bids for re-election to four-year terms in Trustee Areas 2 and 4, incumbents Susan Scott and Juan Saucedo, respectively, ran unopposed and won re-election by default. Incumbent Harold Stryker was defeated by challenger Steven Wood for the two-year term in Trustee Area 5.[1][3]

Funding
Stryker filed an exemption form detailing he would not spend or receive more than $2,000 for this campaign. Because of this, he did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[4][5]
