Crawford is a former Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 21st District from 2001 to 2011.
Crawford was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District N of the Alaska State Senate. He was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District M of the Alaska State Senate.
