Harry Hull is a judge of the California 3rd District Court of Appeal. He assumed office on February 9, 1998. His current term ends on January 8, 2035.

Hull ran for re-election for judge of the California 3rd District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.

He was appointed by former Governor Pete Wilson and took his oath of office on February 9, 1998. He was retained by voters on November 2, 2010, and his current term ends on January 2, 2023.[1]

Biography

Education

Hull graduated from the University of Illinois in 1969 with a degree in business administration. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1972.[2]

Career

Hull served in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps from 1972 to 1976, serving as a circuit prosecutor from 1974 to 1976. From 1976 to 1979, Hull was an assistant United States attorney. He was a sole practitioner in Sacramento for a brief time before joining the law firm McDonough, Holland & Allen later in 1979. He left the firm in 1995 when he was appointed to the Sacramento County Superior Court. He served as a superior court judge until his appointment to the California Third District Court of Appeal in 1998.[2][3]
