Two Hartford Township Police & Fire Levy Increase questions were on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Trumbull County, which is in Ohio, where the first was approved and the second was too close to call.
The first question authorized the Township of Hartford to increase property taxes by 1.75 mills ($1.75 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period of time in order to fund police protection services in the Township.
The second question would have authorized the Township of Hartford to increase property taxes by 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period of time in order to fund the fire protection services of the Township.[1]
