Hartis steps down as Chief Magistrate Judge for Kershaw County

COLUMBIA, South Carolina: On May 16, 2011 Chief Justice of the South Carolina judiciary, Jean Hoefer Toal, ordered that Magistrate Judge Roderick M. Todd, Jr. serve as Interim Chief Judge for Administrative Purposes of the Summary Courts for Kershaw County, replacing Ralph E. Hartis. Hartis requested the change, and will continue to serve Kershaw County in his non-administrative role of Magistrate. Todd's interim term lasts from May 16th through June 30, 2011.[1]
