Criminal proceeding

In July 2009, Silberman was indicted by a grand jury and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor conspiracy charges. His opponent in the 2008 judicial elections contended that she was offered money in exchange for dropping out of the race.[3] Silberman was acquitted of the charges on August 1, 2011.[4]
