Jay ran for re-election for judge of the Florida 5th District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
Jay was formerly a judge on the Fourth Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to the Fourth Circuit Court by Governor Rick Scott in October 2011 and was re-elected without opposition in 2014.[1][2]
Jay was recommissioned from the Florida First District Court of Appeal to the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal on January 1, 2023, by Gov. Ron DeSantis.[3]
