Hassan Ali El-Amin is a judge on the Seventh Circuit Court for Prince George's County in Maryland.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Martin O'Malley on September 28, 2011 and was elected to a full fifteen-year term in November 2012.[2] [3]

Education

El-Amin received his undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1983.[4]

2012 election

El-Amin ran unopposed for his appointed seat on the Seventh Circuit Court.[5] He was successful in his bid, receiving 17.7 percent of the vote; the five candidates with the highest vote percentages were elected in the race.[6][7]
