Three of the nine seats on the Perth Amboy Public Schools school board were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Randy Convery, Junior Iglesia, and Tashi Vazquez won election to the three seats on the board by defeating incumbents Samuel Lebreault, Israel Varela, and Anthony Bermudez, as well as challengers Ruben Cruz and Hattie Harrell.[1]
