Campaign website

Laudon’s campaign website stated the following:

FOCUSING ON WHAT MATTERS

QUALITY EDUCATION

The primary focus of school should be to prepare children with the knowledge they need for the real world. Too many children are graduating without the skills they need to navigate the complex world in which we live.

AGE APPROPRIATE LEARNING

Child development sets the stage for life as an adult. How and what children learn at specific ages plays a significant role in their later life. Introducing adult subjects to young children is harmful and has no place in our schools.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

It is critical to the safety of children that parents are involved and aware of what happens at school. While there are exceptions, children are overwhelmingly safer when there is a high level of parental involvement.

SCHOOL CHOICE

With the focus on providing the best education for children, money should follow the student. School decisions should be made by the parents on what is best for the student, and the money should follow.[2]
