The Hawaii Eighteen Year Old Vote, Amendment 8, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Hawaii on November 5, 1968, as a convention referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed one addition to the constitution: Article II, Section 1. The amendment would lower the voting age from 20 years to 18 years.[1]
