The Hawaii Legislative Compensation, Amendment 14, also known as Amendment 14, was on the ballot in Hawaii on November 5, 1968, as a convention referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed one addition to the constitution: Article XVI, Section 17. The amendment would establish legislators’ salaries at $12,000 a year until changed by enactment following recommendation of the commission on legislative salaries.[1]
