The Hawaii Residency Voting Requirements, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Hawaii on November 8, 1988, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment asked whether the qualifications for voting in the state of Hawaii be changed to eliminate the one-year residency requirement, which had been found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.[1]
