Four at-large seats on the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Dom Payne, Patricia Midtgaard, Tom Bundros and P. Jaime Rosso ran against challengers Heather Bass and Linda Piceno. Rosso and Midtgaard won their bids for re-election, but Payne and Bundros were defeated by Piceno and Bass.

Funding
Bass filed Form 470 with the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, indicating she did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for her 2014 campaign. Because of this, Bass did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[3]
Endorsements
Bass received endorsements from the Gilroy Teachers Association, the California School Employees Association and the community organization Evolve.[4][5]
